My First Translation Contribution

After selecting the Polyglots team, I started translating WordPress strings into Spanish (Costa Rica). At first, I needed some time to become familiar with the translation interface and understand how the glossary and existing translations were used.

As I continued translating, the process became more natural. I paid attention to consistency, terminology, and clarity to make sure the translations would be useful for other WordPress users.

Making my first contribution gave me a better understanding of how collaborative open-source projects work and how every contribution, even a small one, can make a positive impact.

What I Learned

I learned that contributing to WordPress requires attention to detail and consistency. I also realized that collaboration is an essential part of maintaining high-quality translations for users around the world.
